Install the Reign Forex Robot

Download the robot from your portal
Sign in at reign.financial/login → Downloads → grab the build for your platform: ReignForexRobot-2.1.ex4 for MetaTrader 4 or ReignForexRobot-2.1.ex5 for MetaTrader 5. The link is signed to your license, so download it on the machine (or VPS) that runs MetaTrader. Your license is locked to the platform you chose at checkout, so you'll see the build for your platform.

Open your MetaTrader data folder
In MetaTrader: File → Open Data Folder. An Explorer window opens at your terminal's data directory. (Works the same in MT4 and MT5.)

Drop the file into Experts
MT4: copy ReignForexRobot-2.1.ex4 into MQL4 › Experts. MT5: copy ReignForexRobot-2.1.ex5 into MQL5 › Experts. Then restart MetaTrader (or right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator and hit Refresh).

Open your strategy's chart
Open the chart for the pair and timeframe specified by your Reign strategy, and make sure the timeframe matches before attaching.

Attach the robot to the chart
Drag Reign Forex Robot from the Navigator onto the chart. In the Common tab: positions Long & Short, ✓ Allow live trading, ✓ Enable alerts. (No DLL imports are needed.) On MT5, use a hedging account.

Enter your license key + strategy inputs
On the Inputs tab, paste your License Key (from your portal / delivery email) into the LicenseKey field. The robot is the engine — a Reign strategy is its configuration, sold separately; enter its settings exactly as delivered. Don't have one yet? Browse the strategies.

Allow the robot's web request URL
The robot validates your license over the web, so it must be whitelisted. In MetaTrader: Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → check Allow WebRequest for listed URL and add https://reign.financial to the list. (Skip this and the license check can't reach the server — the robot fails closed and won't trade.)

Enable AutoTrading
Click the AutoTrading (MT4) / Algo Trading (MT5) button in the top toolbar so it turns green. The robot's name in the chart corner should show a smiley face ☺ — that means it's live. The chart comment shows License: ACTIVE once validated.

Let it work its session
The robot trades its configured session window with strict daily limits — patience is part of the system. Quiet days are by design.
Troubleshooting
The robot doesn't appear in Navigator
The file is in the wrong folder. It must be exactly MQL4/Experts (MT4) or MQL5/Experts (MT5) inside File → Open Data Folder — not Documents. Restart MetaTrader after copying.
There's a sad/cross face ☹ in the chart corner
AutoTrading is off or live trading isn't allowed. Turn the toolbar AutoTrading (MT4) / Algo Trading (MT5) button green, then right-click the chart → Expert Advisors → Properties → Common → check Allow live trading.
The chart says License: BLOCKED
Two usual causes. (1) You didn't whitelist the web request URL — add https://reign.financial under Tools → Options → Expert Advisors → Allow WebRequest for listed URL. (2) Your license key is wrong, inactive, or already bound to a different trading account (one account per license). Check the key in your portal.
It's attached but never trades
Most often it's simply outside your strategy's trading window, or the daily trade limit has been reached. Also confirm the chart shows License: ACTIVE, your broker allows EAs, and the account isn't read-only.
I'm on a Mac
MetaTrader EAs run on Windows. Use a Windows VPS (any $5–10/mo forex VPS works) and run MT4/MT5 there 24/5 — better fills and no sleep interruptions anyway.
MT4 or MT5?
Both are supported, but each license is locked to ONE platform — pick the one your broker gives you at checkout. Bought the wrong one? Email reign@aenlagency.co and we'll swap it. On MT5, use a hedging account so the robot's partial-take-profit ladder behaves correctly.
Which broker should I use?
Any MT4/MT5 broker with tight spreads on your strategy's pair. Low spread + fast execution matters more than anything else.
